ALA has added three new charitable projects during the past year that are the projects of the Austin Bar Association.  Please consider making a contribution to the General Fund to support these projects:

Free Legal Advice Clinics for Veterans - ALA provides financial support to train attorneys who conduct the clinics.  160 attorneys have volunteered and more than 2000 veterans have received legal assistance during the life of the program.

Austin Adoption Day -  ALA provides financial support and volunteers each November to transform the Gardner Bettis Juvenile Justice Center into a Wizard of Oz "There's No Place Like Home" event to celebrate the adoption of dozens of children out of the foster care system.

Wills and Healthcare Clinics for Cancer Patients - ALA provides financial support and volunteers at the clinics.  The mission of the clinic is to provide properly drafted and executed estate planning documents and help curtail the exploitation of this vulnerable community.

Activity Fee

The Activity Fee is the responsibility of all members of ALA.  This fee is the only resource we have for the year's events.

The activity fee is collected with the dues, which are due June 1st.  This allows the hostess chairs to have an accurate idea of the resources available to them when planning the year's events.
