ALA Scholarship Celebration

Join us in honoring this year's ALA Scholarship winner.  A rising female 2nd year UT Law student will receive a $2,000 award and some well deserved recognition.

Central Market Cooking Class

Time to put on that toque and gather your whisk as we master the art of something delicious at the cooking school at Central Market.  In this 1 1/2 hour class, our instructors will show us how to create a fall feast, Italian-style. These dishes, which rely on seasonal produce and simple techniques, are guaranteed to impress. Attendees 21 and over will enjoy a glass of wine paired with the meal. For ages 18 & up.

Annual Book Drive

Each year we host a a book drive to provide children's books to a worthy Austin organization. This year we will be donating to Helping Hand Home, an amazing organization whose mission is to provide a nurturing and therapeutic home for children and to restore each child to a healthy family setting.  Read more about Helping Hand Home.

Ugly Sweater White Elephant Christmas Party

This grand and sophisticated ALA tradition continues!  Break out your favorite hideous Christmas sweater, choose the tackiest gift you can find and bring a shareable appetizer for our 4th annual Ugly Sweater White Elephant Christmas Party!

We will also be collecting childrens books for our annual book drive for Helping Hand Austin, so please feel free to bring a book for ages 5-13.

Where: Deep Eddy Cabaret, 2315 Lake Austin Blvd.

When: Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. The White Elephant Gift Exchange begins at 5:30/6:00ish.

Let's do a lovely lunch and celebrate Galentine’s Day with just us girls.  (In case you didn't know - Galentine’s Day is typically observed on February 13 every year, the day before Valentine’s Day, and celebrates friendships among women.)

Treasure Hunting in Round Top

Come shop til you drop in the darling tiny town of Round Top during its bi-annual Antique Festival! 

Where:  10:30  - We will meet at Longhorn Lakes located at 6440 Florida Chapel Road, then caravan to town to buy VERY USEFUL things our husbands will truly appreciate.

12:30 - Dutch treat lunch at the Garden Company on Bybee Square.
