The Austin Lawyers' Auxiliary (ALA) is a philanthropic organization founded in 1950. Membership in the ALA is open to those interested in supporting the local legal community by providing scholarships to University of Texas Law School students and volunteering for Austin Adoption Day. [1] . The auxiliary also promotes sociability among members by hosting luncheons, staging events, and touring cultural sites across Central Texas.
The ALA is affiliated with the statewide Texas Lawyers Auxiliary, which operates under the broader umbrella of the State Bar of Texas.
